50. More Nukes in Middle East
This issue examines Obama’s role in Palestinian plans for Jerusalem, his recent whitewashing of Islam’s plans, the growing number of nuke-seeking Arab and Muslim nations, an Army officer’s demand for Obama citizenship proof, and some “interesting” cases of surrendering one’s law license.
OUR ISRAELI CONNECTION
One Jerusalem reports:
[Last week] Easter celebrations began in Jerusalem with the so-called spread of Holy Fire that begins in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Old City of Jerusalem. Palestinian Prime Minister Fayaad used this occasion to declare that next year he prays that Jerusalem will be the capital of a new state and he will celebrate the Holy Fire ceremony in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
It is no coincidence that he used the age old Jewish prayer Next Year in Jerusalem to make his own political point. Fayaad’s increasing boldness is directly attributable to the hostility of the Obama administration to the state of Israel. There is reason to believe that the White House is egging on Fayaad to continuously proclaim his designs for Jerusalem. Fayaad’s latest call for the Old City should lay to rest the frequently repeated “fact” that all the Palestinians want is some suburb of East Jerusalem. They have always wanted the Old City and the Temple Mount. And with President Obama they believe they can get it.
I need not remind you that Fayaad, Abbas, and Arafat before them firmly believe that the Jews have no claim to the Temple Mount – that there was never a Jewish Temple in the Old City. To prove their claim they have destroyed tons of Jewish and Christian antiquities. If they ever get a foothold in the Old City they will literally destroy everything. They will attempt to eradicate Jewish history in the holiest place in the world.
IT’S NEWS TO ME
According to an AP story, the Obama administration has decided “to remove terms such as ‘Islamic radicalism’ from a document outlining national security strategy.” Do they just not get it or is this part of the plan to desensitize America to a very real threat until it’s too late?
The Israel Project reports:
Iran’s continued defiance of the international community’s efforts to halt its nuclear program has prompted Arab and Muslim countries to develop their own nuclear programs. For almost 20 years, Iran hid its nuclear weapons development program from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and denied its existence. Then, in August 2002, the program was exposed by an exiled opposition group, the People’s Mujaheddin Organization of Iran. Only then did Iran inform the IAEA of its nuclear energy program, specifically that it was “embarking on a long-term plan….to construct nuclear power plants with a total capacity of 6,000 MW (megawatts) within two decades.”
Following (in alphabetical order) is a list of Arab and Muslim countries developing nuclear programs in the wake of Iran’s continued push to enrich enough uranium to produce a nuclear weapon:
Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen
GrassTopsUSA reports
The U.S. Army is – unofficially – suggesting a brain scan and medical evaluation for an officer who announced he would refuse to follow further orders until and unless President Obama documents his constitutional eligibility to be commander in chief. Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is the highest-ranking and first active-duty officer to refuse to obey orders based on President Obama’s eligibility. A spokeswoman for the developing case of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, a flight surgeon with 18 years in the service, said the recommendation came to Lakin today from an officer whose name was not being used who implied that those higher up the chain of command thought it was a good idea.
Although Bill Clinton, and the Obamas are all trained lawyers, none of them can legally practice law. That should give you pause, as the legal profession is not known for barring one of their own, for frivolous reasons. I’m not saying that they’ve been disbarred, but they have, all three, “voluntarily surrendered” their licenses to practice law. As Johnny Alamo notes, “A ‘Voluntary Surrender’ is not something where you decide ‘Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?’ and forget to renew your license. No, a ‘Voluntary Surrender’ is something you do when you’ve been accused of something, and you ‘voluntarily surrender’ your license about five seconds before the state suspends (or disbars) you.”
WRITING TIPS
Use of the Semicolon
The semicolon indicates a more definite break in thought or construction than a comma would mark, and calls for a longer pause in reading.
There is no undergrowth, no clinging vines, no bloom, no color: only the dark, innumerable tree trunks and the purplish, scented, and slippery earth.
What is the proper terminology for the time between slipping on a peel and smacking the pavement? 1 bananosecond

There are always 2 sides of the same coin, but I must say, I am learning a lot from your site. Sometimes others have very limited mindset, that’s why they fail to understand the others.
October 2nd, 2010 at 3:14 pm
There are two basic approaches. One is to stay neutral, presenting the positions of both sides. The other approach assumes the existence of absolute truth and to the best of the writer’s ability, presents the truth (using the Bible as the ultimate truth source). This is the approach I take, but I welcome dissenting views so my understanding of the truth can be reinforced, challenged, or proven wrong.
