This issue looks at U.S. aid to Hamas, the world’s plans to destroy Israel, and takes a closer look at what has been called the “Arab Spring.”

OUR ISRAELI CONNECTION

U.S. to Arm Hamas against Israel
Jay Sekulow reports: News reports now say that in addition to sending over $500 million in United States tax dollars to the new terrorist-run “Unity Government” of Palestine, our American military – the best trained military force the world has ever known – will provide training to the army that the terrorist group, Hamas, will now control. What will Hamas do with these valuable U.S. resources? The terrorist group’s Foreign Minister announced, “We believe in armed struggle, in addition to responsible governing, as well as making the government’s resources available to the resistance.” In other words, Hamas admits they will use our military training and our tax dollars for terrorism against Israel.

Destruction of Israel Planned
I [Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer Team] am on my way to Washington to stand up for Israel in the face of a plan to destroy her. The plan being proposed for the United Nations and supported by the Obama Administration to declare a Palestinian state this September is not a peace plan-it is instead a plan for the destruction of Israel. And the Palestinians are making no secret of this fact. Palestinian Authority President Abbas published an op-ed in the New York Times this week clearly laying out his design: a so-called “two-state solution” is only the beginning, not the end of his goals. Abbas intends to insist on the right of return for all Palestinians, which would immediately turn Israel into a minority Jewish nation. He plans to use the World Court, the UN Human Rights Commission and other world bodies to enforce his demands on Israel. Abbas makes no concessions at all. He has rejected every offer proposed by the Israeli government. He believes he can get a better deal from the United Nations than he can from Israel…and sadly, he may well be right.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE “ARAB SPRING”

As I am writing this, I just finished listening to President Obama address the nation regarding the uprisings in the Middle-East and America’s participation in the “progress of democracy” in the region. As I expected, he painted a picture of democracy-loving freedom fighters standing up to tyrannical and oppressive leaders and the need our assistance. If you have been reading my posts for the last six months, you know that his portrayal is far from the realities on the ground. To understand his real intentions, we must follow closely what he has done, not what he says.

Consider the following excerpt from a recent report from One Jerusalem: The press and commentators, many friends of Israel, have been cheerleaders for what they have coined The Arab Spring. Ignoring facts on the ground they have tirelessly promoted the unsubstantiated claim that the tumult on the Arab world is the result of mass democratic impulses among Egyptians, Libyans, Yemenites, etc. They latched onto the figure of an Egyptian Google employee as they proclaimed a new day has dawned in the Arab world. Old tyrants are being replaced by new democrats with Western values. As the dust settles the picture that is emerging is not so pretty. Throughout the Middle East the notorious Muslim Brotherhood is emerging with new influence. This organization that spawned Al-Qaeda and is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the United States is in position to take over Egypt — until recently the bulwark against Islamic extremism and Iran.

Also, consider this response from “Christian Response”: The Obama Administration’s secret meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood three months ago underscores the very present danger of Shariah Law in our United States of America. It shows Mr. Obama’s commitment for Shariah Law to infiltrate our democracy. At the height of the Egyptian revolution a few weeks ago, the Obama administration sent a representative to Cairo to discuss the fall of Egypt with the Muslim Brotherhood, a group dedicated to Islam’s global spread.

Finally, consider this report from Ben Stein: I am going to tell you the truth about the so-called “Arab spring”: First, the “Arab spring” as a force for democracy and peace in Egypt seems to me to be a fraud. The dictator and his entourage who were kicked out in Egypt were pro-West, a bit restrained on Israel, open to free enterprise, and resistant to Iranian-sponsored terror. Now what? Egypt is now rapidly becoming anti-Israel, pro-Iran, pro Hamas, and very far from being pro-human rights. The most potent of the political forces in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood, hates the United States, loathes Israel, condemns the killing of bin Laden (whom they praised as a martyr), and have been wedded to terror for their entire existence. They will probably take over Egypt completely sooner or later. And as the terrorist government of Syria cracks down on its own people, the U.N. Security Council does exactly nothing about it. When the dust settles, Iran is going to own the Middle East. There is a gigantic coup by Iran taking place. We are doing very little, if anything, to stop it.
