Greece Hinders Flotilla’s Progress
JTA reports: The Greek government is trying to stop its citizens from joining an international flotilla that will try to break Israel’s naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. Greece, which has growing ties with Israel, said in a statement from its Foreign Ministry that while it is against the blockade of Gaza and the use of violence to prevent ships from reaching the coastal strip, “taking into consideration the appeal of the United Nations General Secretary, we encourage Greek citizens as well as ships under Greek registry not to take part in the new flotilla headed to Gaza” on Saturday. The flotilla will not help the humanitarian situation, the statement said.
 
Israel Always has learned that recently Greek authorities arrested the civilian captain of a US-flagged ship, the Audacity of Hope, bound for the Gaza strip. The ship’s goal was to challenge Israel’s legal maritime blockade. Read more.
 
The Quartet Comes to Washington
Jerusalem Prayer Team reports: I [Mike Evans] am outraged, and you should be too! Next week the Quartet is coming to Washington for talks to “jump start” the Middle East peace process. Last week a UN official blew the cover of secrecy that had surrounded this event when he revealed that the meetings of the European Union, Russia, the United Nations, and United States representatives will be held in Washington. They have been trying to keep this quiet so the American people will not rise up in protest against this horrible betrayal of Israel. The menu for this “dinner” is barbequed Jew; the state of Israel is being offered up as a sacrificial lamb in the name of peace. The very people who have been killing Israelis for years are about to be handed the keys to the city of Jerusalem…given control of the holiest sites of Judaism and Christianity…and handed deadly military positions on Israel’s shrunken borders!
 
U.S and E.U. to Meet on Israel’s Future
The Israel Project reports: The United States and Europe are planning to present a new Middle East peace plan at a Washington summit on July 11, based on the parameters set out by U.S. President Barack Obama in his televised speech on May 19. The initiative is designed to present an alternative to the Palestinian plan to demand unilateral recognition at the United Nations in September. On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to cut the $600-million annual U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority if it pursues unilateral U.N. recognition. Read more.

U.S. Officially Embraces the Muslim Brotherhood
Frank Gaffney, Jr. of the Center for Security Policy reports: The Obama administration chose the eve of the holiday marking our Nation’s birth to acknowledge publicly behavior in which it has long been stealthily engaged to the United States’ extreme detriment:  Its officials now admit that they are embracing the Muslim Brotherhood (MB or Ikhwan in Arabic).  That would be the same international Islamist organization that has the destruction of the United States, Israel and all other parts of the Free World as its explicit objective.
 
On Thursday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tried to downplay the momentousness of this major policy shift by portraying it during a stopover in Budapest as follows:  “The Obama administration is continuing the approach of limited contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood that have existed on and off for about five or six years.”  In fact, as former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy points out in a characteristically brilliant, and scathing, dissection of this announcement, Team Obama’s official, open legitimation of the Brotherhood marks a dramatic break from the U.S. government’s historical refusal to deal formally with the Ikhwan. Robert Spencer in FrontPageMag.com reports:The Obama administration is set to begin formal contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood, a group dedicated in its own words to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house.” The spiritual father of the Muslim Brotherhood, the 84-year-old Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, recently returned to Cairo to be greeted by huge and rapturous crowds after the end of his fifty-year exile from the country. In January 2009, during a Friday sermon broadcast on Al-Jazeera, he prayed that Allah would kill all the Jews: “Oh Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish, Zionist band of people. Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them. Oh Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one.” He also declared: “Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by [Adolf] Hitler.” Read more.

AS I SEE IT
Once again, where’s the outrage? I guess we’ve become so used to this administration’s unconscionable conduct that nothing fazes us anymore. Does this not sound like another treasonous offense? How much more evidence do we need to prove that Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of America is not in America’s best interests?
