This issue looks at the problems with two of Obama’s Cabinet nominees, problems in Palestine, the emerging Egyptian-Iranian connection, Pastor Youcef’s re-arrest, the poisoning of a Muslim lottery winner, and more concern over growing Muslim Brotherhood influence in the Obama administration.

A CIA Director who refers to Jerusalem as al-Quds?
One Jerusalem reports: In a speech at New York University, sponsored by Muslim Brotherhood fellow travelers, the nominee for Director of Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan said, “And in all my travels, the city I have come to love most is Al Quds…Jerusalem, where three great faiths come together…” Brennan sympathized with a questioner who was an officer of an Islamic organization affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. The questioner complained that Muslims are under attack since 9/11, at Ft. Hood, and the attempted Times Square bombing. Brennan sympathized with the speaker, saying that public reaction is indeed, “excessive…this is going to be tough.” Brennan continued: “Let’s face it, a lot of people will have very ignorant feelings and will have prejudices and discriminations that we have to erode.
News from the Israel Project
A future Palestinian state is in extreme jeopardy according to Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. The Palestinian Authority is struggling to cope with a spiraling economic and financial crisis that Fayyad linked to the failure of Arab states to deliver promised assistance. The assistance has become crucial in the aftermath of Palestinian moves at the UN to seek and secure upgraded non-member statehood, which were done over the objections of the United States and Israel and which triggered financial sanctions. Fayyad had opposed the diplomatic campaign precisely due to fears over its financial consequences, but Palestinian officials led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas prevailed instead. The shortfall in promised Arab assistance seems to bear out Fayyad’s fears about the tangible costs of the diplomatic gambit.
Two key Iranians, including the man described as Tehran’s “Spy Master” have been spending time in Egypt over the last two weeks. For three decades the two countries had no diplomatic relations, but ties have warmed considerably since the Muslim Brotherhood ascended to power in Cairo. Egypt invited Iranian spy chief Qassem Suleimani to offer his thoughts on how to improve Cairo’s security and intelligence services. Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akhbar Salehi is in Egypt for three days this week to talk bilateral relations and discuss the crisis in Syria that has left upwards of 60,000 dead. Iran believes “the great capacities of Iran and Egypt should be used to the interests of both countries,” according to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast.
Reaction to Hagel Nomination
Jay Sekulow reports: The outrage is building. Opposition to President Obama’s anti-Israel choice for Secretary of Defense is growing. Even some in the mainstream media agree that Senator Chuck Hagel’s radical views make him “not the right choice.” Senator Hagel has voted to appease Iran. He has even urged direct talks with the vile terrorists of Hamas, who target Israeli civilians with hundreds of rocket attacks every year. He also supports dangerous cuts to our military as unrest grows in the Middle East. Even more disturbing, Iran has publicly welcomed Hagel’s nomination, while Israel has stated, “We are worried.”
The ACLJ is actively engaged, working on Capitol Hill and beyond, to stop this dangerous nomination. Israel and our Armed Forces deserve better.

Muslim Lottery Winner Poisoned; Planned to Give $s to Christian Charity, Violated Islam Gambling Prohibition
Debbie Schlussel reports: Did someone from Muslim immigrant Urooj Khan’s family murder him for the lottery winnings or because he violated Islam and
planned to give the money to Christians? It looks like one of these is the reason. He admitted that his lottery winnings were the fruits of gambling, which is haram (prohibited) under Islam. Did that have something to do with his death? Did the fact that this Muslim not only violated Islam, but was planning to give much of his winnings to a Christian Arab charity, another reason for his murder-making it an honor killing? Or was he murdered by his wife or daughter for the money? He was killed on the first day of Ramadan. Read more.
Egyptian Magazine Confirms Muslim Agents Influence Obama Administration
Godfather Politics reports: GOP concerns about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration at the highest levels of the Obama Administration recently got confirmation from an Egyptian magazine, Rose El-Youssef. The article, which was translated into English by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, named six influential Muslims within and without the Obama Administration who it said turned the White House “from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.” The six named in the article are: Rashad Hussain, U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Eboo Patel, President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships; Mohammed Elibiary, Homeland Security Advisory Council; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council; and Imam Mohamed Magid, Islamic Society of North America president.
