Palestinian jihadists from the Gaza Strip are traveling to Syria to fight with Sunni opposition forces, deepening concerns that Syria is becoming a training ground for battle-hardened jihadists. According to the Gatestone Institute, the Palestinians traveling to the conflict have been told that removing Assad is the first step to eradicating Israel, with the eventual goal being the creation of a pan-Islamic state ruled under sharia law.

Members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps are currently in the Gaza Strip, according to an exclusive published this morning by The Tower. The Iranians, according to The Tower’s sources, are experts in missile production, and are in Gaza to help Hamas and Islamic Jihad develop long-range missiles. A Grad rocket was fired this morning from Gaza to Ashkelon, the first since the end of Operation Pillar of Defense on November 22, 2012.

The P5+1 is meeting with Iran today in Kazakhstan, and the West is expected to present Tehran with an upgraded offer, including sanctions relief on gold trading, on small-scale banking, and on Iran’s petroleum industry. Secretary of State John Kerry is calling on the Iranians to take the deal, even as officials from the E.U., U.S., and U.N. have become increasingly vocal in accusing Iran of using negotiations to stall for time.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan mocked Syrian leader Basher al-Assad for not attacking Israel, according to reports of comments he made at a recent government communications forum in the United Arab Emirates. His comments echo those of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu – once described by U.S. diplomatic cables as “exceptionally dangerous” and “lost in neo-Ottoman Islamist fantasies” – calling on Syria to attack Israel, and implying that Ankara would do it if Damascus didn’t.
(My comment: This is just after Israel provided Turkey with advanced AWACS early warning technology. What’s wrong with this picture?)

The Obama Administration put their “blessing” on this published report which was distributed to the United States military at West Point!
