Temple Mount Defaced with Anti-Semitic Graffiti
Timesofisrael.com reports: Police opened an investigation Sunday after graffiti was found in the Temple Mount compound depicting a swastika as the equivalent of a Star of David. The incident came on the heels of a call by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for Palestinians to defend the Temple Mount, the location of the al-Aqsa mosque and the site of heated clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces over the past several weeks. The State Department scrambled on Sunday to respond to a weekend New York Times scoop revealing that the Obama administration intends to bypass Congress in reducing sanctions on Iran – the Times’ exact language was that “President Obama will do everything in his power to avoid letting Congress vote on” an agreement with the Islamic republic – as both lawmakers expressed opposition and journalists pressed for clarification.
Today we mourn for Chaya. Yesterday [Wednesday] Chaya Zissel Braun was killed in her stroller in Jerusalem. A Hamas terrorist plowed his car into a train stop and cut Chaya’s life short. Chaya was just three months old. Chaya was an American citizen.
